DISC DEGENERATION

Disc degeneration refers to wear and tear of the intervertebral discs. Disc degeneration is a physiological process, and every person experiences a greater or lesser degree of wear and tear in the course of their life.
In a narrower sense, this refers to a reduction in height or a bulging of the intervertebral disc. This leads to thinning and tears in the fibrous ring of the intervertebral disc, and the nucleus pulposus bulges forward. In addition, there is a successive dehydration of the intervertebral disc (“Black Disc”), premature osteoarthritis, and possibly secondary stenosis.

Weak connective tissue, malnutrition of the intervertebral disc, and excessive strain on the intervertebral disc can be possible causes of pain.
To prevent this, strengthen your back muscles, do movement and stretching exercises, pay attention to a balanced diet, and consider preventive therapeutic measures,
such as SpineMED® therapy.
